Web Woes

Regarding Christopher Reynolds’ “Web Can Save You Cash but May Waste Your Time” (Travel Insider, Nov. 12): Usually I book my travels with the AAA travel office, where I get excellent service. Because I had heard so much talk about saving money by using such Web sites as Expedia, I thought I would give that a try.

The result: My upcoming flight to the Philippines on Philippine Airlines was quoted at $217 higher than I paid at AAA.
