In Canada, women have that right to bare their chests.

So let me put this into a bit of perspective;

When back in the U.S. till my early 30's I literally had "no boobs" but male looking pecs, a ripped belly and arms, and for all intents and purposes when topless if I kept my mouth shut and pants on most people thought I was a young short guy......Below a photo of me when 31/32, I had gone soft so lost all my muscle (and pecs), was fat in the legs, ass and belly, and even had a little boob growth from the fat.

In my 20's when I worked I'd tend to hang out at mixed gender gay bars and a few straight bars on Sundays, and eventually some folks asked me to play softball and volleyball so I joined them. Now understand, I NEVER told anyone I was a guy. However, most simply assumed such and I simply didn't argue. To that end I'd often end up playing just wearing my jeans and going topless, and nothing was ever said.

No one ever stared at my chest except straight women. No one ever tried to touch my chest except the same, and they would do so like they would a guy.........Then one day one of my clients told them that I was female, and another confirmed it. That day EVERYONE stared at my chest.

The next time many of the gay men and gay women would try groping my chest just to get a quick feel clearly. Ultimately many of the men though GAY would constantly perv on my chest. They're gay, it looks like a guys chest yet suddenly now knowing me as female they were considered "boobs/breasts." Ultimately it became such a problem (worse when the straight bar folks found out) that wearing a t-shirt or tank top had them all desperate to get it off me to see my boobs again......In that clearly I didn't care, so why'd I have a problem?



So yes, women should be able to be topless where ever men can but be clear on something....Current laws are set up so that any part of you shown that arouses another person is considered lewd conduct by the person that exposed that part. IOW, it is on par with it is a woman's fault that she was raped because she has a pussy instead of a dick.

If such a fair right came to pass nation/world wide, initially you will find men looking and drooling, top covered women chastising, and a lot of negative backlash from everyone......Once it settles down however the real problems start. Men will stare, catcall and harass, quickly they will start groping, and ultimately there will be a rise in sexual assaults.....The worst of it is though, even though it may be legal to be topless, the women will be blamed for the problems they have. Further, harassment, and sexual assault crimes will increase dramatically, and the debate will all begin once again because those few men that cannot control themselves will have to be dealt with more often, and the blame will be levied on those that "chose" to go top-free.

Ultimately it will settle down, yet at that point a new surge of change will happen. That being women being encouraged and choosing to not be topless to be "sexy/sexual." Not just by men wanting the thrill back, yet by women intentionally bucking the new standard to just have that additional bullet in their gun of enticements.

In the end however, a topless woman will be considered as non-sexual as a woman who covers up excessively now. IOW, it will be a signal of no sexual interest on her part.......and only at that point will it all balance out to like men.

For the record, places where total nudity is the norm, that is how it works out too (like nudist camps and swing clubs). For nudity of any part to be considered risqué or sexual, it must be the exception, not the rule.

For myself it will change my life little.

As it stands now I am nude day in/day out. I often will be found in a public bar the rare times I go out topless or naked if I can be, and focus where I go and what I do on the ability to do so (in that if I can't I'll do it anyway as a comforting thing). While out west last year a lot of bars had a sign over the bar stating "topless/nude women drink free." I'd always ask if it was true, and where it was so was I......Those that didn't allow such would find me having literally unintentional (though subconsciously driven) accidents.

So to me it would just be another day......Make full nudity acceptable, and I'll be out in public a lot more.
