And after I got to thinking about this I'm willing to bet there is another very good reason for wanting to put a new cap on and collect more of the flow coming out of the well bore. And that would be their drilling mud.

With a 400 F bottom hole temperature they probably have to use what they call "inverted mud," which has a diesel base instead of a water base. When they get tapped into the well blowing out they will be pumping thousands of barrels of mud at it to try and get it killed and in the beginning at least most of it is going to blow out with the oil until they can build a big enough hydrostatic head.

Well I've always found the whole troll thing kind of abstract.

Here's another great piece of conservative/Republican/Tea Bagger hypocrisy. It falls under what I think is going to be a campaign strategy. Pointing out how many conservative/Republican/Tea Bagger were "for things before they were against them."

I am already on record as saying the Cap and Trade legislation currently under consideration is as farce as far as actually doing anything that will really address global warming/climate change and instead is a soft landing give away to US industries while we actually make the conversion

You can here the conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers howling about that now. But they actually ought to be cheering the acceptance of their Hero Ronald Reagan's approach to environmental pollution back in 1980.

Everyone including President Obama seems to be announcing the top kill has worked and the majority of the oil in the Gulf of Mexico has evaporated, dispersed, or been clean up.

And as I am writing this President Obama is speaking to the AFL-CIO pushing his new energy program.

"We will show the world some very powerful words: Made In America."

 

I thought this one needed updating to show that all the hysteria and criticism of president Obama and the federal government was completely unjustified.

Where's the oil people? Where's the destroyed Gulf Of Mexico? Where's all the fouled marsh lands and beaches? Nowhere. I cannot believe myself that we managed to get out of this industrial disaster with no more damage than what we've seen.

And yes there is damage and still oil in the water but its minimal compared to a well that blew out somewhere between 50,000 and 70,000 barrels of oil a day.

Likewise all the hypocritical criticism and jobs hysteria surrounding President Obama's drilling ban have also turned out to be grossly over estimated.
